Bridge II update?

Nada - as usual…

I guess I hoped for too much if I get in touch with Paul. Promise after promise.
PS-Audio hit a wall or are not many DSJ with this loud burst problem. Maybe if more people will call and insist PSA fix the problem…

Thank you Sir.

The funny thing is, we’ve tried to reach out to you on multiple occasions, the last time was this past weekend. We have sample test code for you to install or we can do it for you.

It’s one thing to have a problem and work with us to get it resolved. Quite another the bash us like this when you’re either unwilling or unable to respond.

Our director of engineering is trying once again today.

Paul you were wrong informed. I called Matt few times but just today I was able to communicate.
Believe me,Paul, this is the last thing you wanna do…start a fight with your customers after we had so much patience.
And don’t make it sound like is my problem when so many DSD customers having the same problem.
Fix it and then you won’t hear from unhappy customers.

Then I stand corrected. Please accept my apologies. I called Matt and he hadn’t seen either of your phone calls.

Let us know when it’s resolved. Those who have this problem will be delighted (we know of about 12 people currently). We should release the code as new shortly after we get confirmation it does as advertised.

I am one these people, not sure if I’ve been counted :joy:

To the positive, issues with the DSJ and BII have led me down the Matrix path which I’m quite pleased with.

As for Paul attacking the customers on the forum, when I read his post above I just imagined it sounded like his YouTube voice which seems to make about anything sound like it’s going to be ok :innocent:

I guess that 12 people out of maybe 2000 customers is not bad. You are doing the best that you can do and is not your software that has the issue.

I’m not one of those 12 people. But I do have the same burst noise issue in DS Senior w/Bridge II. I didn’t want to wait for the official fix so I simply reverted back the Bridge II FW.
I think 12 is the number of people who reported this issue to PS Audio. I believe there are more users in the world that have this issue but simply didn’t contact PS Audio.
There are many “silent users”. They don’t speak out for such issue. Often they simply give up and move away from it.
In my case I don’t give up because I love the sound of DS DAC. And fortunately I can get away from the burst noise with older Bridge II FW.

One of the “silent” here w/a DS Senior. Looking forward to this update.

I have the issue with loud static noise with the current firmware, otherwise I love the DAC other than
sketchy album art retrieval, but SQ is more important. I trust PS Audio to supply us a fix for the noise issue.

It’s not the DAC, it’s the Bridge2. I’ve been waiting for a fix for 6 months or so! Lol. Don’t hold your breath. I got so tired of it, I bought a better solution, Auralic Aries G2.

I’ve got the same problem also just haven’t said anything until now. I guess I really didn’t think is was that big of deal I just try to remember to turn down the volume

With my DS Senior Bridge II insists on not presenting the correct art when I playing Tidal playlists in random mode.

The funny thing is that the problem was fixed with the last update of Bridge II and came back again soon after, when I installed Snowmass.

Looks like the update we’re testing has fixed it. We’ll do a bit more research before releasing.

That’s good news and the bridge sounds great anyway you look at it the burst sound to me really isn’t that big of deal but would be nice to see it gone. Thanks for your book I probably hadn’t read a book in 20 years and I couldn’t put it down lol. Thanks again Dan Newman

Wow. Thanks! That’s so kind.

I owned, used, and quickly sold the Aires G2. Didn’t enjoy it and not a fan of their app. Bridge II sounds much better in my opinion. Way more money for the G2 compared to the Bridge II and no increase in sound quality in my system. Your mileage may vary.
