Cable burn question

Something interesting happend. I shipped out the demo power cords from Zenwave. So, I moved the AQ Dragon HC from BHK pre to P15 generator (another reverse-bent). I then used an old modified PA Colossus cord with Vborg plugs (plus copper wrapper) from storage to power the streamer. The SQ was a big step down from the ZenWaves.

Three days later the SQ suddenly became alive. Both AQ Dragon and PA cords are old, but it still took days to warm up. No, it is not at the same level of Zenwave, but it is nice now.

Purist Audio Colossus, eh? The liquid cooled, er I should say insulated cables. Had the interconnects in the 90’s, and found them to be fun, silver wire suspended in some sort of magic liquid.

Are these available on a short term loan? I could trade you some Stealth Dream 16 speaker cables to reciprocate.

Ha! You funny! Those babies are soooo Long gone! Replaced with an entire Nirvana cable loom.

Me? Stealth for the 20 yr. old PA cord? I don’t want to take advantage from you. Although it sounds great with the Viborg plugs plus the golden wrapper (vmax’s tweak). But it is still the worst sounding cord so I use it for the switch.

Once my new Zenwave PSR-11 arrives then it will serve the router or TV again.

My $200 Xangsane 5N silver ethernet is showing a lot progress from yesterday. It will beat my previous 6N silver ethernet easily soon. This one has a three dimensional soundstage and that’s what I am looking for.

My Shunyata Omega will not be here for two more weeks, I may move Xangsane to compare with fiber optic link first after a few more days of burn in.

Cable performance, for a pure audiophile, can also be correlated to wives’ menstrual cycles. Sorry, I should have let Al say this!

Oh, it’s a power cord. I thought it was speaker cables. I wanted to hear them, and offered the Stealths for you to try while yours are gone.
I was confused.

We don’t have those anymore. We’re old.

But that reminds me. In my late 30s I ran a company. Guys are a pain in the ass so I hired mostly women. A lot of women. A sad lesson I learned was women who work together all tend to be on the exact same cycle. Doh. My office had a door and my favorite Pinball machine in it.
