Cable/interconnect investment as a percentage of Audio Components?

Timely and topical column by Herb Reichert in the Feb. edition of Stereophile.

Well we don’t really know. Maybe he just relies on measurement :^ )
Regardless, if he uses Radio Shack cabling in his personal system I doubt he uses anything much different in his lab since he doesn’t “want anybody else taking credit for my accomplishments”

The argument would be, if it sounds good on crappy wire it will sound better with a well designed cable.

I think you are the reason I happily now own two Sigmas.
Dumb old me I think I hear a wonderful change!
No tinfoil hat either.
Thank you!

The P20 and the DSD. (As instructed)

Glad you are enjoying the cords. Took a listen to the Hydra Alpha power conditioner
to see if the new version was a step up from an original Denali. While the noise reduction
created a stunningly black background, I thought it took the life away from my P20
experience. The P20 will stay, but I like the noise reduction effect of the Shun power
cables. What a world, what a world, said Dorthy.

Back to the initial question: I spent about € 5k on cables. That’s about 5% of my stereo.

Try it with the tinfoil hat. Oh, the soundstage!!!

One nice thing about being (mostly) bald is you know right away when it starts raining.
