I had a P10 that did 2 5 channel amps pushing 9 channels for HT at once. 5x200 Anthem and 5x100(It hink it was 100) Outlaw as well as Anthem AVM70, Panny disc player, and assorted LPS’s for roon NAS and such. It only clipped once, on a movie. Dune 1. Theater was rocking and the amps pulled too much. Very very loud all speakers.
But your 1.2k amps if you crank I am not sure it will handle that.
I had a P15 clip when I put my sub in it. I have 3 subs in P20 with BHK300 monos, nothing ever. Handled it fine. Probably not what you wanted to hear, but I would go with P20 with those monster amps. Pleny used on the market less than half. P15 here I think for 3k. @tony22
I think the mono blocks will be problematic. I have 3, older generation P10s, each capable of supplying up to 1000W. I use one each for my Electrocompanient AW600 mono blocks and the third for the rest of the lower power-drawing gear, including 2 DB1 B&W subs (each has a 1000W class D amp).
I recommend you check the idle power draw on the monos. Mine are rated at 230W (with no signal). I found that even at moderately high listening levels the power draw only peaks just over 160W (as the attached PowerPlay snapshot shows). So the 230W spec appears to be overstated. However, I’m content to have plenty of headroom.
Roughly speaking, the power requirements of the mono blocks will diverge from the idle value depending on their topology. Probably pure class A is the easiest to estimate because maximum power draw will be when it’s idle! Class A/B like mine is around the idle mark indicating that I probably don’t push it into class B mode all that often.
