Change to board software?

Just figured out that you can use Adblock to remove the drop down for the three headings on the top left.

Simply hover on heading, right click on drop down panel and choose “Block Element” then Create.

Then repeat for the other two drop down headings.

is this a browser extension?

Yes, in Chrome

And Firefox, perhaps others.

It would be far preferable if the page designer removed the mouseover event for the banner elements and just let you click on what you wanted on the menu, as in the Good Old Days. And, whilst he/she is at it, alter the font, size and weight used on Paul’s Posts so that you can actually read the expletive-deleted text without having to press your nose against the screen.

Wasn’t suggesting my idea as an “instead of” solution, but rather an interim workaround.

If anyone at PS is following this, whenever I come back to the Forum on my iPad, the site is “zoomed in” so that about 30% of the right side of the page is cut off. Have to do a pinch to pop it back to full width. Thanks.

I wasn’t dissing your useful suggestion. My ire is directed at the web designer

Exactly. This element drives me to distraction!!! There is so much WRONG with the new site.

Also frankly can’t recall now how the old site showed which Forum Thread you are in, but there no longer seems to be a way to tell (iPad) short of tapping on the URL to expand it, or scrolling to the top of the thread.

Where are my Jetpacks?!
And “electricity so cheap it will not be worth metering” ?!

I dunno - sometimes it still blows my mind all of the things, and all of the work that can be done with electricity for next to no money.

Tech has sure come a long way in the last 50 or 100 years!
…but I still think jet packs would be cool
