Didn’t go there but just looked it up. Looks wonderful and, “On Sundays from 3.30pm onwards, we will accompany you during your visit to our café with cozy piano sounds.” Noted if/when I’m next there. ![]()
i so miss international travel …
I don’t care for the beverage (I know, sacrilegious on this thread), but “Black Coffee” by Beth Hart with Joe Bonamossa is one of my current favorites, especially the title track. It just shreds!
“ Here in America, where it’s the land of the free
And you can get what you want if you’ve got some do re mi
And I’ve got me a job, and I’m working like a slave
Yeah I’m independent and you know I get paid”
We all miss it too
Hopefully that’s 8oz. cups rather than the silly 5oz. measure.
I usually do 2 cups a day but they are 20 oz.
1, 16 oz a day. Just finished it and am feeling invincible (". . It found that participants who drank coffee were less likely to die than those who didn’t . . .")
I typically have two double espressos each morning. She would not approve.
I use an Ovalware dual layer stainless filter that “. . preserves more essential oils and nutrients than paper filters and eliminates unwanted “papery” taste. . .”
I also drink espresso. I like the way the lovely woman at the shop calls it expresso—her humor.
I find that a regular 16 oz cup of drip tastes much better, the first 8 oz. After that, it loses me.
Me too. Or I will have two 8oz pour over’s.
In our home pour overs rule assuming the right beans and grind. On the road it depends on the barista, grind, and water. Bradbury’s, Cafe Domestique, Rockford Roasting, Ruby, and Damn Fine Coffee being standouts.
Here’s my travel companions when our Aeropress isn’t practical. Both are surprisingly good.

I’m not even gonna read that study.
I drink waaaaay more coffee since the pandemic, being home.
It’s pavlovian, every time I walk past the machine.
Plus, I’m making myself useful, pushing the button. Receiving a coffee is a bonus.
So maybe more like a skinner box.
It’s mental.
Don’t care for anyone’s views on how much coffee I should drink. I just thank heavens never have to go to Starbucks again in my life. I do like a good coffee shop now and again. Most were in the City of London, sadly Zoom has reduced my visits.
That looks toxic
toxically delicious!
Having a nice cup of Folgers just now, decaf
