I did get that, thought to throw in some dry humor.
“Seriously people — STOP BUYING MASKS!” the surgeon general, Jerome M. Adams, said in a tweet on Saturday morning. “They are NOT effective in preventing general public from catching #Coronavirus, but if health care providers can’t get them to care for sick patients, it puts them and our communities at risk!”
I hear that Text has a negative impact on birth rates indeed. Youth and some elderly infected by the Text virus don’t really get physically in contact with each other anymore as Text seems to affect our behavior. Like I should stop texting right now.
Probably not too many years, Rudolf. But I remain hopeful for divine intervention because that’s what will be needed in my case. But that’s okay. I’m at peace with whatever happens. It’s been a good ride.
I just hope my cashier son doesn’t bring it home with him.
We will pray for the divine intervention and that Corona starts disappearing.
Totally understandable. That would really take the sting out of missing it for me because you guys and Schiit were really the main reason I wanted to come. Meet the class acts that I admire and all that. Be safe and hopefully I can make it to Boulder before I pass.
Dude. That is friggin ROTF hilarious.
The only thing wearing a mask helps with, is it keeps you from touching your nose and mouth.
Actually, experts are saying just the opposite, that people will be retouching their faces constantly in order to re-adjust the masks for a snug fit, therefore getting hands to touch the face even more. The experts also say it is difficult for most people to get a perfect fit. The masks are also useless once they get moist, as the moisture then is a magnet for germs.
There’s no doubt masks are effective at stopping the virus. But I would think if one was mindful, wearing a mask would at least be a good reminder not to touch your face.
All these new fast spreading diseases are just a part of having a “world economy” that Darwin is trying to figure out how to deal with. It will all come out in the wash as the saying goes. Not that anyone wants to volunteer but we could use a few billion less people and the earth would be very grateful.
And yet we can survive a bit more by dealing more responsible with our planet. What this planet might be more happy with is the reduction of pollution this outbreak has caused.
Funny to see kids skipping school on Friday‘s to demonstrate for a cleaner environment but that same nation spending a record amount of 80 mln EURO to burn on fire works in less then 3 hours which causes probably more respiratory issues than the Corona virus. Nobody demonstrates or takes measures against that stupidity.
Well said.
I’ve heard from CPAC in Maryland that guns are safe, the planet is not warming and Coronavirus is a hoax. Perhaps Axpona should relocate there.
Everyone please remember this is a politics free zone.
I have deleted the last three posts, leaving stevensegal’s as an attempt at humor.
I appreciate this is heavy handed and apologize, but I have learned threads otherwise go bad at astounding speed.
I’m in Seattle and the University of Washington (50,000 students…) just shut down all campus classes and activities through April. Getting pretty heavy here in WA state…
Literally the perfect response
Wow. Through April.
Well, until classes begin in April. If it’s all clear. Sorry, it was worded oddly.
