I just saw a article posted earlier this month that Axpona is delayed again. The end of October same month as RMAF. I was wondering how many manufacturers would be there now with COVID and Rocky Mountain Audio Fest the same month? I doubt many if any. Axpona
I bought a three day ticket for the 2020 show and have been transferring it each time they change dates (four times now!). Obviously April couldn’t happen, August seemed possible, but they said they got offered (by the show hotel) the last weekend in October. Seemed like a much safer bet for COVID, so they changed dates. But the fall has other shows, RMAF being the big dog in the US. They’re three weeks apart, so sure seems like a poor choice. Still hard to say if there will be international visitors at that time given the “third wave” moving through Europe now (hopefully not here!). Good possibility any show this year will be small, though I did see a “headline” that the Munich show (early September) is full for exhibitors! I’m curious if PS Audio will show at RMAF, AXPONA would seem unlikely. Let’s hope next year is the return to some semblance of normal …
Just got an e-mail saying that they delayed AXPONA once again … Now it will be April 22-24, 2022. This sure seems like a big mess, for the longest time there was no info on exhibitors, them just in the last few weeks there was a pretty good list of them, now we’re back to April. Lets hope they don’t screw the exhibitors this time …
Interesting, but no surprise.
Are Audio Conventions going the way of the DoDo, Possibly.
Just received this email:

Dear AXPONA Community,
AXPONA will be rescheduled from October 29-31, 2021 until April 22-24, 2022.
Throughout this spring and early summer, enthusiasm for AXPONA in October was sky high. Attendees were buying tickets, exhibitors were making plans and the media were requesting their press passes. But in recent weeks Covid cases in the US, due largely to the Delta variant, have been spiking again which has adversely impacted consumer travel behavior and corporate travel decisions.
Exhibitors and attendees travel to AXPONA from throughout the United States and from more than 40 other countries. Over the last few weeks, citing concerns over personal health, the unpredictability of international travel restrictions and reinstated companywide travel bans, many community members have told us they are unwilling or unable to commit to AXPONA in October.
So we have worked with our Renaissance Schaumburg venue partner to return AXPONA to its traditional spring timeframe in 2022, April 22–24, and we secured future dates from April 14-16, 2023 and April 12-14, 2024. We look forward to full participation in April with over 200 listening rooms, the Ear Gear Experience, Record Fair, Expo Hall, live concerts, networking events and so much more fun for audio gear buyers and sellers from all over the world to safely enjoy.
Lastly, we support other industry gatherings that go ahead this fall as planned. We believe business and consumer events can be successfully held during these times so long as responsible health and safety measures are implemented and adhered to. In fact, we look forward to seeing many of you at some of these upcoming events soon.
We will be in touch with all AXPONA participants in the days and weeks ahead about the April show. If you have immediate questions, please feel free to reach out to us. Ticket holders may call or send questions to Liz Smith and exhibitors and sponsors may call or send questions to Mark Freed.
Until then, stay safe and healthy and immersed in great sounding music!
Sincerely,
Liz Miller Smith Mark Freed

Ouch!
I am planing to hit Capital Audio Fest (November 5-7) the website say,s it’s still on but they still have not published a list of exhibitors which is concerning so, CAF my be postponed as well
CAF is a smaller event but still fun and the crowds are much smaller which allows for more conversation with manufacturers and reps, the short trip from Buffalo to DC (40 mins by plane) is also attractive to me personally
Best,
-JP
I wouldn’t be surprised if RMAF winds up getting canceled. The writing is on the wall.
Also don’t hold your breath for an April 2022 AXPONA show.
Vaccination appears to reduce the Delta variant from deadly to a mild flu. My in-laws just had Covid at ages 83 and 79 and they were mildly ill for a few days. Without vaccination it is deadly and extremely contagious. In the UK we have had several super-spreader events, like the European Championship Final.
I didn’t buy tickets for Axpona working in the EMS field and being married to an ER nurse I saw a spike in cases 3 weeks ago and it’s been steady with Covid patients again sadly. I know a lot don’t believe in the vaccine and it won’t keep everyone safe from getting covid 19 but it will help against death so for that reason it’s a good idea to get the vaccine. Stay safe friends hope to meet you all in person some day at a Hi-Fi show or PSA headquarters!
I just wanted to thank you and your wife for being in the medical field throughout the s*** show that the pandemic has been in the US. I have a good number of friends who are ER or ICU nurses and they are all super burnt out right now. Hopefully, you are making some OT and can splurge on some new gear. Thank you again for taking care of all of us!
Thank you! Yes my wife is the real hero and she is burnt out. Short staffing and overwhelming patient loads. Thanks again for the kind words.
Folks, please stop with the COVID-19 vaccination/anti-vaccination posts, country by country vaccination percentages, etc.
Sorry. Stay safe
No problem!
Stay safe, too.
So. This works for me. I couldn’t go because of other commitments. Lol.
I was honestly more bummed I won’t be meeting fellow forum members. Maybe April!
Your thoughts and well wishes are appreciated.
Let’s shoot for April everyone. A forum member meet-up would be great.
And hopefully Axpona makes amends with PS Audio. Otherwise, where would all of us meet?
