Anyone tried the Jay’s Audio CDT2-MK3? There’s an upgrade package for the CDT2-MK2 available too.

I am deviously thinking that I should praise the PST beyond words because you

No one wants to prove that a lot of these claims are wack than me. I want to call it insanity so much that I buy the stuff and then have to acknowledge that yes, it is audibly better.

I have drawn a personal line in the sand for Farad power supplies. I am guessing I am wrong to do so but enough is enough. (This week anyway)

I now have the Jay’s Audio CDT2-MK3 and it has outstanding sound and extremely well built (i.e. like a tank). Apply all audiophile terms to the description of the sound through the DSD-transparent, highly detailed, yet not harsh or grainy, wide soundstage, vinyl-like bass… If the new PST is truly better than this then you owners should be in for much enjoyment. I don’t play SACDs so the PST wasn’t on my list. Using Wireworld Siver Sphere HDMI.

You made me do it, I ordered the upgrade kit to turn my MK2 to an MK3. It won’t get the new transport but I believe the transport I have is remarkable.

Does the MK3 I2S work directly with the Directstream DAC without having them configure it like the MK2?

I asked them to configure it for the DS. My impression is this is done by dip switches internally.

When you order on the website there is an option to add a note. Just specify please configure for PS Audio Directstream DAC. They had a 7-10 day window at the time before they shipped which was correct and shipped FedEx from mainland China which I received in 5 days extremely well packaged and no damage to boxes which is better than what I usually see for domestic shipping.
