Thanks Aaron. Have the hardware changes been rolled into the automated assembly process and been vetted? Are there any remaining known hardware changes that are not yet rolled into the final production process?

After unzipe the folder, I copy two .bin files into an empty USB. But MK2 did not start the flashing cycle like last time. Am I missing something?

If you already had 2.3.3 on your Mk II it doesn’t need to reload it. Check the Version screen. Similarly check the Version screen to see if the FPGA version is 179 Antero, (You might have to scroll down on the Version screen to see the FPGA version.) Barry said that 179 Antero is released so I expect that’s what you have on the USB stick. In any case the FPGA version on the screen should match the fpga1xxx filename on your USB stick.

Mine did flash

Ted
Does this update change the sound in anyway?
Thank you

Darren listened to a number of candidates and picked it. He likes it better than 178.

@tedsmith
when i had the 2.3.3 couple weeks ago, there was no sound from the MK2
should i use this 2.3.3 ?
is this 2.3.3 different than the 2.3.3 before ?

It’s the same 2.3.3. If your box is muted with it installed, you need to check with service and possibly send your unit back.

Thanks, the version I have is 2.3.3, however the FPGA still says 178 Beta SS from the version menu. This was after inserting USB and turning it off/on a couple times.

Has anyone else with 2.3.3 encountered this issue?

Thank you PS Audio!

Somehow after 5 minutes it started loading the new FPGA! I must used a very old and slow drive. Thanks! :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I reported my USB rate change issue but haven’t heard back from engineering yet, does this mean all known USB issues are resolved now? Since we’re still on 2.3.3 I am not sure if PSA should declare Beta to be over so soon

Mine was slow to become responsive to front panel and remote after new sw install, but after a few minutes waiting, all good. Now on 2.3.3, and 179 Antero, which immediately sounded like an upgrade to me. Hard to describe, but if I had to, I’d say more “present”, in a good way, than 173 which I’d been using for the past couple weeks since picking up the MK2.

Hi Aaron - What’s the difference between 178 and 179? Is there anything that we will notice?

Aaron,
I did bot recieve the email with fpga 179

No functional difference, I turned off some debugging stuff and 179 was graded by Daren and has the Antero release name in it.

Antero is:

  1. An oil and natural gas company. It engages in the exploration, development, and production of natural gas.
  2. An apartment complex in Colorado Springs.
  3. A reservoir on the South Platte River near Denver.
  4. A high performance PEKK-based electrostatic discharge (ESD) thermoplastic 3d printing material.
  5. A Denver based law firm.
  6. A Denver based Automotive & Truck Services company.
  7. A mountain in Colorado!

It looks like PSA has decided to stick with Mountain Tops!

Too soon for that you should get familiar with a new piece of equipment before tweaking it.

I can forward it to you. Give me a few minutes.

Edit: done.
