Great to know. I plan to add the PST later on. Can you let me know what HDMI cable you use to connect your MK2 to PST? Thanks.
Heads up, as an AudioQuest 0.75 meter Dragon HDMI just appeared on the Forum Market Place for a reasonable price. Many attest to its merits. Personally I am fine with the WireWorld Platinum Starlight 7 HDMI.

PST playing DVD+R is for sure not as smooth running as playing CD and SACD. I have many DVD-R discs with hi-resol. AIFF and DSD files. Sometime a disc is too full of data PST was unable to read it. Other time it would take a long time to read.
When PST took forever to read the only way is to reboot it by turning off power behind.
Thanks, that might be a deal breaker for me. Also, will PST play backup SACDs? ISOs that have been burned onto DVDs, or is there the usual SACD copy protections? Thanks for all the info.
That stinks. PWT has been outstanding playing all my DVDs that I have burned HDTracks. Same with DoPs
I use one that has been discontinued for probably a decade, the PS Audio AC-12 HDMI, which is a silver HDMI cable.
Thanks!
Interestingly I have never tried a backup DVD on SACD yet. All my hi-resolution files were downloads.
So, I burned a DVD+R with Vol. 2 and 3 of Octave Audiophile Masters SACD files. It took a few seconds longer to read, and PST played the disc without issue. The DVD+R sounds incredibly nice! But I have not compared it to the original SACD (and I have not played this SACD file from MK2 until now).
These were individual DSF files burned as data files onto the DVD or was this an ISO of the SACD burned onto the DVD?
The SACD was ripped into DSD (DSF?) file as my backup. I burned a DVD from this saved file later to try in PST.
