Thanks @tedsmith and @paul! This is fantastic. A must see by all.
Lectio Magistralis!
Senoir trade in is $3500 until January 31st.
HELP! I watched Paulâs and Tedâs video this morning on the MK2. Can someone explain to me how to turn Isolation on the inputs? I just looked at the manual and really could not find anything on it.
In the menus you can go to âAudio Inputsâ (which is beyond the versions screen) and select it. Then you can go the âGround Liftâ menu and select that. Then you can lift or not lift the grounds on each of the inputs.
selecting lift will engage isolation?
Ted, this is exactly what I said about clear instructions to find the optimal settings. Such an important feature is getting lost. Especially when the default setting is not isolatedâŚ
Guess Itâs time for us to get off the fence and get one of these.
SMH! so i have been listening and breaking in my beta MK2 without Galvanic isolation all this time. Just shows how important it is to follow these forums and videoâs for information. With all the talk about how great Galvanic isolation is one would think it would be set on as a default and not find out after the fact.
Ted explained that they did not want a mk 1 user moving to the mk 2 to have some kind of noise so they defaulted to the ground condition. It is very easy to change in the menu. I have lifted all the grounded inputs without any issue.
What was your finding sixpack1? Sound better in your system?
To be honest I have not seriously compared the two options. My dac is supposed to get back to me today. At some point I will have to investigate further.
So, is there a plan at some point to document the various settings that are buried in the control software that are not in the ownerâs manual?
Jumped on a P10>>P20 and MK1>>MK2 trade-in, one swell foop. The $7500 total trade-in credit was too good to pass up.
It may make sense to start a thread to post undocumented features.
Easter egg hunt!
Congrats!
What is answer to this question?
