The MK II issue only happens with certain sources and the next release of the FPGA (which will be out before your unit ships) will be better than the DS across the board.
Thatās what I wanted to hear.
Thanks, pal!
Another day goes by, no update.
Patience. Any day now!
Ted had a post today about software likely by end of April regarding the pops and clicks.
Tedās not the one who is always holding things up though.
Thatās after Axpona. If anything, Iād guess updates will make that deadline.
Thanks for your patience. We will release new firmware that addresses these issues on April 10th. Weāre testing it now to make sure everything works ok. Sorry for the delay.
Ted is not holding anything up. He has the fpga ready to go for the clicks and pops. I believe Paul is speaking of the next UI firmware to address operational issues.
Excellent guess! 27 days from now til April 10, if the estimated release date holds.
Sad.
DS DAC mkll just arrivedā¦28 degrees outside - how long until I plug it in ? any break-in tips, other than playing music? It replaces a MKl with PST ā¦Thanks
I just let mine sit for about 5 hrs in room temp without anything plugged into it. Then I played whatever I liked. CONGRATZ btw!
Thanks !!!
I just got my PST back from service and it too was very cold. I let it warm up about 6 hours before I plugged it in.
after 2 months, I guess an extra 5 or 6 hoursā¦
You answered your own condescending questionā¦if you believe a company has botched the launch of a newly introduced product youāve purchased, send it back. Or choose to wait until thereās meaningful feedback from a community that the bugs/glitches have been worked out of the software/hardware. From what Iām reading in these PSA sponsored forums, Paul/Ted are acknowledging issues. It may require a significant number of use cases to identify/correct unintended challenges with the new HW/SW.
How do you know this? Do you own PSA equipment that needed attention at one time or another?
I personally have had the very experience that elk speaks of and yes the guys go above and beyond when help is needed.
