Not in the PerfectWave SACD.

It can be decoded in DACs such as the DSD MK2:

Yes, it does-sort of. It recognizes the preemphasis flag and sends it along to a DAC that can deal with it like our DACs an.

I’ve seen this with the Soulution 757 ‘pre-emphasis’ phono pre-amp

Elk, your post reminded my of my very recent experiences using the Chrome AI search engine to research and trouble shoot various “audiophile” questions and topics; from acoustics to specifications and reviews to “best practices”.

I’ve found it to be a very useful tool. The results should be viewed critically as most everything else should. One response I got asking for an audio-related opinion included as part of the response something I myself had written years ago in an audio blog.

Absolutely. That said, the inclusion of references and “strings to pull” as you dive deeper using the algorithms is critically (in both senses of the word) helpful.
