DS Jr. Not showing up in Roon...

I don’t often listen to digital. Today, when I tried to stream from my Roon Server, my DS Jr. Did not show up as an available audio zone. The other players on the network still show up, I did a hard boot, but no joy. Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Has it ever shown up in Roon?

Yup. The last time I use it, it showed up and worked. That was about two months ago…

Does it show up via uPnp? Can you ping it?

The first place to start is Roon’s audio settings. Check to make sure the DSJ is enabled. Roon will sometimes disable DAC’s on its own after they’ve been unplugged, off the network, etc. Can’t get it to show up as a source if it isn’t enabled.

it doesn’t show up in Roon.

what is UPnP?

Upnp is the normal way the bridge is played. You would connect to it with something like jRiver.

I bought this solely to use Roon. I despise JRiver, it is not installed anywhere on my systems.

The DAC function still works. I can play music from my Sony through the USB input…

Although it will only play DSD over DOP…

You don't need JRiver. Just install Roon on your computer. It should recognize the Bridge. If it doesn't, call Jeremy in our service department and he'll get you going.
