A: Mercury V1 supports the PS Audio pinout only. Mercury V2 allows each signal to swap polarity allowing it to connect to virtually all DAC’s.
That sounds like it should work with the DS Mk II, but I will of course confirm this if I get serious about the unit.
Just curious if anyone is using WiiM Mini or WiiM Pro? They’re cheap, as ipeverywhere notes. I had an order for a refurbished WiiM Mini on ebay ($60, I think) just as something to get me through to the AirLens, but that was when I thought I couldn’t get my Oppo UDP-205 to do the trick. Took a reboot of the Oppo to get it working again with BubbleUPnP, and now it’s working great (and sounding great) as a streamer to the MKII (so cancelled the WiiM mini order).
If anyone is using WiiM, what are your thoughts on SQ?
I am using a Wiim Mini connected to the MKII via its included cheap plastic fiber. I am primarily doing internet radio (TuneIn - primarily classical) and it sounds very nice. It will do until I figure out my next move as the 2009 MacBook Pro via USB I was using finally died.
Everyone was willing to wait months for AL, six weeks is nothing. Mines ordered(Holo Red)

Anyone here happen to have tried the Silent Angel M1T? I just ordered the Holo Red based mainly on the fact that it was one of the most affordable with an i2s but am very curious about the M1T.
I inquired about it at some point. I was assured by the manufacturer that it is compatible with PSA I2S standard. In the end I did not buy it because it only supports up to DSD128 over I2S.
I was looking for 384/32 and DSD256 support.

Yes, as @2muchgear reported, Silent Angel M1T supports up to DSD128. I was also a happy owner using it for I2S over HDMI to a PS Audio DAC. I ordered one the week that PS Audio announced the Octave Software was dead. I only sold it as I have too much DSD256 music now…
I think that is only via 12S, but 256 via USB. with MKII that should not be an issue.
Did you do this using the same SSID or a mesh? I did something similar but reverted to have different SSIDs because it became difficult to distinguish the different APs from each other when troubleshooting them.

Ah, yes, good USB point. But I was using an older PS Audio Stellar GCD that would have needed a firmware update by sending it back to PS Audio… so I was told… to use USB with a streamer at all. Did not matter to me as I wanted to use I2S over HDMI anyway. But that is limited to DSD128 from the M1T. Whereas the HoloAudio Red can do DSD512 over I2S. More than enough for PS Audio today.
And supposedly DSD1024 with a firmware upgrade at some point. Although 256 is more than enough for me.
Ubiquiti UniFi Mesh. You always know the AP a client is attached to. You can also permanently associate a client to an AP.
I believe you’ll find your solution in consecutive wifi channel assignment for each device within the network, rather than in device naming.
You may have a look for non-auto input in settings?
I use Eero WiFi mesh system. Works decently.
Me too, but has been really pretty stable – a bit better than “decent”.
My only gripe is it seems to spontaneously lose its “handshake” with the router and/or Eero base station from time to time. A reboot fixes things, though; and the disconnection is not frequent.

Are the AP members of the Mesh wireless to the router or hardwired? All but one mine are hardwired back to my core PoE switch. The one that’s not has been remarkably stable even during an upgrade.

I will say the Eero base station is “hard-wired” to the router, if that is what you are asking.
