I have severe and really annoying screen burn in on my DSD. Is this a common problem and/or is it an easy fix? I’ve had the unit for almost three years, so it’s way past warranty and I would be happy to replace the screen if possible.

Yikes. That’s not good. I have now seen this one other time. Let us replace this for you. That’s not good. Contact customer service.
Here’s the proof it’s a good idea to turn your screen off! To do so just hit the “Dim” button on the remote.
