Well I solved the whole issue yesterday morning…
I purchased an Auralic Altair G1, had it shipped overnight, received it and installed it this morning in the system.

I’d like to think so.
I won’t go on about it in this thread (for obvious reasons), been listening for the last few hours and can say I certainly made the right choice as far as this upgrade is concerned.

I’d call it a long term solution. The DMP would have been fun, and you never know down the road you may decide to pick one up just to play around with.

I need an affordable streamer/DAC for a second system. Considering DMP-A6, Gustard A26 and Orchard Audio Pecanpi+. Any comments from those who have tried any of these?

I just ordered the Eversolo DMP-A6 Streamer on Amazon, sold by Eversolo. Price is $859. Delivery estimate is July 8. If you want one, I would recommend ordering now before they sell out.

@aangen if you put the 4TB hard drive does roon see that storage or is it only seen via the eversolo app?
The internal M2 drive is available from the local network so I believe it is possible to point Roon at it and use it with the built-in app.
