Eversolo DMP-A6 Master Edition

Stock is 679.2 uVrms. If you have high sensitivity speakers you might be able to hear it from the tweeter. If you can’t hear it you can hear the lack of noise with a blacker background, more detail, and better separation. Most of the time, You can’t tell when the noise is there, but you can easily tell when it’s gone.

Playing Amazon service now.

What was the “powered usb’ issue?

Maybe I’m stupid. It seems like the delivered service sounds better. Give me your opinion.

so the LHY has 90% less noise than stock? (Is that how it works?)

anyway, vast improvement, I reckon. (But not sure if that’s where the improvement reveals itself, however.)

What level of noise does Teddy get from standard A6? The same level that LHY get?

less than 10 uVrms
82% less noise than the LHY
98.5% less noise than stock

reminds me of princess and the pea

I updated all the FW and mobile iOS updates to the A6 today. I don’t see hares out of place nor lipstick on the ears nor smokes. It is: v1.2.10 for DMP-A6 release

is this a beta release?

I’m on 1.1.80 and i checked for updates and it says it’s up to date.

I am just trying to understand the efficiency of the Teddy PS compared to LHY. 679.2 uVms is the noise level that LHY saw. What is the chance that Teddy gets the same noise levels? I bet my 2 cents that they are using different equipment to measure the noise levels and the baseline (ie with LPS) they get are different. One good thing about Alvin and LHY is their relative transparency.

My unit prompted me for update. After I updated Amazon music showed up as a streaming service. I then updated the mobile app and it showed there as well. So that is how I know both the device firmware and app are updated

Here’s the link:

679uV is the stock switch power supply as measured by LHY. 56.68uV is the noise of the LHY, they didn’t give a frequency range. Teddy said his measures less than 10uV across the whole frequency range measured up to 100Khz. So it would seem, to me anyway, that LHY may (or may not) be cherry-picking their numbers, not Teddy. If we are to believe what each says anyway.

It also seems like the LHY lps is slightly underpowered. The stock power supply puts out 2.25 amps but the LHY only puts out 2.08 amps. The Teddy puts out 4amps, should it should sound even better with the extra power on reserve.

Thanks for the info.

Has anybody upgraded the clocks in the master edition to the Ian Canada SC Pure clocks?

Never heard of. Link?

You can order direct from Ian in north America for cheaper. It has really good specs. Saw a good review for them on YouTube.

Installed the new update this morning. I love the new spectrum mode! I particularly like Spectrum 4.

I haven’t heard a word from Teddy Pardo since I ordered that power supply. Sigh.
