Awesome! Thanks so much, I really love the look. I am going to go to my local and have a sit down and see how it feels.
Have a great rest of your weekend!

Youāll regret sitting down on it unless youāre willing to purchase it.
Lol, thanks. Yeah itās hopefully a gift I can have the wife get for me for our anniversary.
As long as the source of funding is not your wallet
New listening chair!
There are times when I think that would be helpful.
Especially with Darkside - Spiral. That album is a thrill ride on vinyl. Itās pretty good on Qobuz at 24.96 as well.
That could be useful for those guest listeners that grab the ipad and jump to the next song a minute into the song they just chose
I need to be straight jacketed from my annoyance at that point.
Looking forward to hearing how this turned out.
Funny story, she ended up getting me a nice watch while on vacation instead so the chair will have to wait a year. Something to look forward to!
Ran across this article todayā¦figured many here would find it interesting:
I got the chance to sit in a real Eames chair and it was quite comfortable, though I only sat for a few minutes. I would love to try one for longer, but the cost of admission is just too high. I seem to have an odd back/spine since I have great difficulty in finding a comfortable chair. Iām currently using an IKEA Poang which is pretty comfortable, though it has a reclined back that makes it awkward to do anything other than just sit (Iām not good at just sitting ā¦). It also is difficult to get out of. Was previously using a Stressless chair but found it ⦠stressful. Too slippery and I would be slouching quickly. Prior to that a Barca-Lounger recliner. It was cushy soft but no back support.
Eames is way harder to get out of than a Poang. For me, anyway.
I use a standing desk so maybe we should start standing while listening.
Okay, terrible idea.
As a design professional, Iām more or less required to love the Eames chair, but I, too, find it uncomfortable and harder to get out of than my Poang (it helps that I have the rear of the Poang propped up on some homemade blocks made from a couple layers of 3/4ā Baltic birch ply). Plus the Poang supports my lower back, something my body doesnāt get at all from the Eames for some reason.
Iām sure the Eames fits others like a glove though, or else it would be one of the most successful and longest-lived set of emperorās new clothes ever made. But as much as I admire its looks, itās not for me.
Agree with all of that, including raising the back of the Poang. It is a bit too laid back. I also cut the headrest off mine, as it interferes sonically. You have to decide how much you like resting your head vs. sonics.
I love my 20 year old Eames with ottoman. Problem with it though is that I often fall asleep in it. Wake up to tttthpp thhhhpp thhhpp ttthhhhhp
I had to think about it for a secondš
Obviously, this is a chair for someone to be listend to! They have to answer questions though!
I donāt see the chair?
Those are some serious looking sound makers!
