I want to send you a private email question.
Is your address jamesh@psaudio.com ??
Tom - NJ
Thanks, I understand. An incredible amount of work.
This is one of those situations that I understand and sympathize with. There is also love for the ill-fated display and - separate from, but allied to that - the touchscreen. Not to mention the firmware and so on. But, as you mention above, if I may interpolate - there is beautiful sound, and there is beautiful functionality.
Sorta depends on your inclinations and experience (time invested in this case) with a given product.
My guess is that touchscreen was a source of warranty issues for PS Audio over the years. Makes sense for them to want to move on from it, but I can see where users really liked it.
Before I moved to Boulder and met him, I thought ājameshā was an Indian dude.
Then I was, āOh - James H.ā
Now that is an interesting offer! Iād like to chat via email.
That is a Motley Crew.
Mamas donāt let your babies grow up to be hi-fi dudes.
Word
Jamesh, until 1 1/2 years ago, I thought he was Irish due to spelling. I preferred my mistake and pronounced Jamesh in a poorly Americanized Irish accent; but have since moved on to James. James does sound urban- Colorado, does it not?
Darren looks like he could stand in for Dave Grohl.
That is cool James. So frustrated to live in South America, in a very dodgy, poorly run country where importing a PST (as well as sending you guys my 230 volts DMP) would cost a fortune, no, two fortunes
I need a vacational house somewhere in Colorado, I just need one if anything to become a true bon vivant.
Thatās the one!
Is the drawer grinding on the PST still an issue?
I havenāt heard about any in a good while. The standoff adjustments have gotten better and testing requirements have gotten more strict as well.
Iām in too
Okay. Thanks
The PST looks really interesting but after dropping considerably more $ on a McIntosh MCD 600 SACD/CD player a couple of years ago, Iām respectfully wondering if the PST would yield improved performance. Any thoughts would be much appreciated. (The PST would be connected to my DS jr via I2S.)
