First music of the day

Slow and easy Saturday morning vibes
Listening to Duke Ellington’s Blues in Orbit (Columbia, 1960) — DSD128 digital remaster.
Smooth, warm, and just right for a quiet start to the weekend along with the first cup of coffee.

A part of the British folk-rock music invasion that overtook the USA in the mid-60’s, with albums such as Unhalfbricking, present day troubadour Richard Thompson continues on with 2014’s Acoustic Classics. Reinterpreting some of his finest and favourite songs. The ode 1952 Black Vincent Lightning stands out as a tip of the hat to a magnificent motorcycle and a love long gone.

Well 24 hours a personal nightmare began and today will be wiping up aftereffects and a few actions that are going to be datytime nightmares for me.

Just time to sneak in a partial listen to

This is quite a teaser.

Sorry, I don’t have a lot of time to talk. Just over 24 hours ago out of the blue our dog of six weeks Memphis attacked my wife and ripped into her forearm and broke one of her forearm bones, the ulna. I got tore up too trying to remove his jaws from her, luckily just my right thumb pierced through the nail.

Lucy is in the hospital recovering from an operation right now. She has demanded that Memphis not be here when she is released. I have to try to talk to the dog warden when his office opens at 10 and to the center we adopted him from. Things I don’t want to do at all.

So sorry to hear this, I thought that Memphis was settling in nicely.
Hope your wife recovers quickly.

Yes we thought so too, apparently he has a heritage of unpredictable behavior.

It was a nightmare to see the dog you’ve learned to love refuse to let loose of your wife’s right arm and to hear the bone snap.

Hope all is well, wishing you the very best.

The operation went well, she was groggy most of the day (expected, usual) and they are working on pain management, a bit of OT expected tomorrow.

I’m getting a game of ring around the rosey of what to do with the dog from the county and the shelter. . . I’m still working on it, don’t want to have to pay to board the dog for a ten day mandatory quarantine.
