First music of the day

Both car and MRI settled?

A Looney Tunes sort of day. Better days ahead. It is nice that upon reflection you can laugh it off.

Chet and Russ have joined me as I Get Lost in a healthy breakfast.

Duke Eliington “Private Collection Vol. 3”

These Private Collection discs have some very interesting music.

Listening to the new Laufey’s “Biwiched” on QOBUZ, I then purchased it.

I do not have my main system on because my MK2 was sent to JR to do the APS transformer update, but the album sounds nice on my B&W Formation Bar & Bass too.

Art Blakey’s Jazz Messengers Olympia Concert, featuring Lee Morgan, Benny Golson, and Jymie Merritt. A fantastic live set, and the recent Sam Records reissue is fantastic sounding!

Any music has Paolo Fresu is great!

I’d like to think you would enjoy this as well. It reflects Carla’s quirky sense of humor. Excellent musicianship.

My copy of the Lewis is arriving in a few days.

Right now
Ahmad Jamal “The Complete Ahmad Jamal Trio Argo Sessions 1956-1962” discs V and V!

The mastering on this set excels that of any LP or cd of this material I have had before. The dynamics that Jamal plays with so skillfully are presented as accurately as the dynamics on almost any other recordings I have. Lovely sound that breathes and swings.
