All fuses are in the audio path; we listen to current modulated by a musical signal. This is why PowerPlants work.
I hear what I hear. I have refined my system over 2 years and changing the fuse and fuse alone made a difference.
I listened to the system for 4-5 hours before replacing the DS fuse and then listened for another few hours after. I like the change.
In all devices (P5, DMP, DSD) I replaced fuses on SR Blue Quantum. Before I did, in all devices I have shorted the fuse for a moment and found that it had a big impact on the SQ.
I read this. So I replaced the fuse with a Synergistic Research Blue Quantum $150 Fuse. I hear no difference. I can easily hear cables. I figured this. If you want to be sure it is not just Hubris, DBT. Or wait for TSS. We all should hear the difference in that.
Hi 2chan4ever, Have you tried reversing the direction of the SR fuse? They are definitely directional. Last year I had to replace a shorted SR blue fuse, for the next couple of weeks, I sensed something different, first I thought it was due to my experiments with some different placements of SR HFTs on my speakers, but that was not it, until it clicked, I checked the SR fuse, it was in the wrong direction! It was quite amazing actually, since I have a couple of SR blue fuses in the audio chain, just one fuse with an unfavorable direction! Also SR fuses need break-in time.
Also did you replace the digital fuse, the other isn’t used
