We will finally get to hear the Gryphon product at Axpona room 1445! I’m very excited to hear the 333 and of course to see Rune Skov! If you haven’t met Rune be sure to say hello to him one the nicest guys in the audio business!
Gryphon ponies up, finally a non-static display. Should be interesting to say the least.
They will still have the main floor static display which is imo very impressive!
The 14th floor is now going to be a crowded floor.
Hearing is believing in my world. Nice they are participating.
Got to finally hear Al’s Gryphon set-up a few week’s ago. I’m a newcomer to that level of high end, and typical try to avoid it (yes - basically bank fears) but man o’ man….TOTAL SWEETNESS. Speaking of Sweetness, enjoy Chicago, friends!
Had a private listening session with the 333 a few weeks ago. It’s a very powerfull great sounding amp. Liked it…
Very nice!
A most wonderful amplifier!
Should be an interesting debut at Axpona 2024 driven by the Gryphon Diablo 333.
This was one of the “it seems nice” rooms at Axpona 2024. I spent an hour and a half there on Saturday, and was also there on Friday and Sunday.
I believe @adifferentpaul and @paul172 and myself spent the most time of anyone else in the live Gryphon room. I spent hours in there. I was going to order the Gryphon EOS 5 Speakers but my Guru George talked me out of it. He said “keep your Vivid Spirits”. Nice.
Your other not so much a guru (me) said “get the estelon extremes”*
*if the deal is the best deal in the world.
I wish I had these problems, LOL.
BTW it was a great Axpona guys!
I also have conflicting advice…
Some say get a better DAC.
Some say that below a certain threshold, they’re all crap, LOL.
I think that my particular system excels with a brighter, less smooth sounding DAC, as my pre & power amps are nowhere close to being bright or harsh.
I have a solid state preamp that I can put in the system when I want to, and have the hybrid tubes/ss for most listening.
But hearing the Bacch again, from the sweet spot, was just so cool.
The Bacch-SP is on my mind post Axpona as is the Grimm MU2.
My banker says down boy!
I am close to a decison on my integrated amplifier choice as well.
I have no need for the Bacch with the MU2 in my system. To me it was not so special as for some of you.
PLUS—happy wife, happy life.
