Thank you! It’s there!

But… Gapless was already on. Indeed, the gaps between songs when playing an album are much shorter than gaps while playing a playlist (again, this is Tidal, using mConnect Control HD), but they are still a second long at least and albums where songs run together cut off awkwardly in between.

So if the device is set to Gapless in mConnect, which apparently it has been and is… I wonder if there’s a setting in Tidal itself within the browser. I don’t see one yet, but I hadn’t found the other either.

Oh well … I haven’t used Tidal in a while and have no recollection of gapless being an option. I have no gapless issues within my network or when using Spotify so hopefully it’s somewhere in the Tidal settings. One other thing, MControl does have the occasional issue connecting, but if it doesn’t resolve itself a reboot of the app usually fixes it. Good luck!

I’ve just sent our tech guys a note asking if they’ve heard of this issue. With everything up to date and a seemingly good network, they’re at a loss. For testing, you could give Roon a shot. If I remember correctly, they offer a trial period so you could see if it’s something with the Mconnect app not working.

I ran out of legal replies yesterday. Only hurts when I laugh (ow).

Thanks all. I broke down and bought the $6 mconnect Player HD app, since it advertises gapless on its website, and Control didn’t specifically… I played with both gapless settings (“Gapless by App” and “Gapless by Renderer”). No luck. I signed up for Qobuz trial and tried that. No luck. It plays fine, but there’s a gap between songs.

So I downloaded Roon, and it’s working perfectly (through the Bridge II). So it’s either mconnect itself or user error. Roon is considerably nicer in any case, but that price tho.

If you like the sound of Roon, it’s got the best user experience in my opinion. I am addicted to it. Sorry about you loss on app store.

Yeah, I do like Roon so far.

I’m suspecting my network a little more today. When I have some time I’m going to look into that further.

Thanks for all your help.
