Agreed - some distance between the Unread Posts and Mark All Topics As Read buttons would be good. Somehow making the Unread Posts button stand out a bit more would be nice, too (perhaps bigger?) - eyes are drawn to the larger button to the left of the text stating how many unread topic there are, but that’s the Display Forum Ranks button, not Unread Posts. Thanks.
Alternatively a prompt for acknowledgement on all read.
Not alternatively but additionally…
Make the first unread button bigger, move the mark all read button away AND add confirmation dialogue to mark all read.

Could we please have a restore function when editing a new post.
I just made a long post and when I changed tab in my iPad browser to copy a link, all was gone when I returned
To rewrite everything is some of the worse tasks at hand and now I completely lost my initiative.
Ouch
I suppose that would be some sort of ‘Save Draft’ function that could also be manually applied, coupled with some connection of saved drafts with the thread that it is created in. I believe that the last forum worked this way. Yes, it is very irritating to switch tabs and come back to find a wonderfully crafted piece of writing gone to the bit bucket. Been there, done that!

Yep. I open another tab to avoid this issue when I need to refer to another thread but that should not be necessary.
It happens to me all the time.
Here is how it has been solved in another forum I am a member of.
The button says ‘Restore auto-saved content’ in case you refresh or leave the page after some time:

A minor request: Change the default double line entry when hitting “Enter” to single line.
This may be something Paul can change in the forum software preferences settings.
Unfortunately not. I just looked. Add this to the list Peanutbutter is building it’s in the theme and we can ask to have that changed.
Here’s the options I have to choose from. If you see something here interesting, it’s easy to change.

Is there an options page for the built-in editor or for how posting works?
What confuses people is that when they are entering a post, the “Enter” key adds two lines, instead of the usual one. My hope is there is a setting in the editor or posting behavior section of the settings which can change this from double-space to single-space.
It is very minor. If we fix it the only benefits are that posting will be a bit more comfortable/predictable, and the threads will be more compact without as much blank space.
I did a quick Google search and found this:
I’ll ask our web guru to handle today if possible.
Well done!
I hope this does not mess up existing posts.
I wonder why double-spacing is the default.

I just looked into this as I have no problem. It turns out, once again, this is an Apple bug, a known issue, and oft complained of. Apparently Safari, etc. auto-refresh when changing tabs. This causes one to lose where you were reading a webpage, loses entered content, etc.
I suggest either editing one’s post in an external editor, or perhaps opening an extra copy of the browser thereby avoiding switching between tabs.
IIRC, the old forum auto-saved one’s draft every 15 seconds (or some interval). If it’s not possible or desirable to implement auto-save now, could the user be given the option of manually saving a draft? Many forums I visit have this feature. As I’m typing this, I’m looking around and can’t find a way to manually save.

I did learn that you can do a Shift+Enter to get single line spacing if that helps?
It is good to know (Ted nicely pointed this out when we previously discussed the issue).
It’d also be nice to be able to undo the thumbs up/down for when we’ve fumbled and clicked the wrong one. Right now, once a selection’s been made, it’s locked.
Has anyone else had a problem with the list of unread posts pop-up today? The thing’s been acting weird on & off most of the day for me. Sometimes nothing happens when I click on it, and other times, the box comes up at the top left corner of the window instead of in the middle like it used to.
