I recently worked your “Plus” speaker wires back into my system – Cary pre-amp, Moon Audio amp, Martin Logan Ethos speakers – and it’s sounding mighty fine. Had been using Tara Labs and, more recently, Audioquest CV-8. Any plans to get back into that arena, or is it too crowded a field and/or off focus for where you want to be?
Great question and one we struggle with. There are so many good cables out there already, yet when we make speakers our intent is and always has been to offer a complete chain from the wall socket to your ears. Doesn’t have too be our own design or even brand, but it has to all work together in a way we would be proud to have in our homes.
Thanks for the swift reply! Meanwhile, I’m enjoying my revisit of your Plus speaker wire which had been set aside in a box for several years. Was using Audioquest CV8 most recently. Any thoughts on one vs the other, with the associated equipment noted earlier below? Much thanks –

Not really. I don’t have experience with that model vs. ours. Audioquest generally sounds more detailed and a bit thinner where ours always leaned towards the fatter, warmer.
Gotcha – thanks for that. Hope to transition into one of your amps before too long, but I’ve still got lots of life in my cary pre-amp and Moon w-5 amp!

Sorry Paul — one last thing. By any chance do you guys have any screw on spades lying around for the Plus speaker wires? I somehow lost them along the way - only have bananas. Of course I’ll pay for them. Much thanks in advance —

We probably do. Give Jeremy or James a shout on Monday and we’d be happy to comp you a pair.
That’s great — very kind of you — I really appreciate it!
By the way, I also bought one of your early CD players (arguably the only listenable one available back then) and your 5.0 preamp from Sound By Singer back in the 80’s. Powered my vandersteen 2c’s. That was my second true “hi-fi” system after I sold off my beloved kef 104ab’s, driven by “son of ampzilla” and matching Thalia preamp. Loved that system! Got the audio bug at an early age - can’t and won’t shake it! Thanks again —

Mel, did you intend to place your name and phono number at the end of this post? Maybe you answered via email and it includes your signature?
This can be overridden by making a small modification to your signature by placing a line just above it with
"-- "
(two dashes followed by a white-space character) on a line by itself
Gotcha, yes, replied by email and the auto signature kicked in. I thought you’d enjoy my touch of audio nostalgia earlier - been a customer for over 30 years! All the best and thanks again for the offer earlier - I’ll be in touch with your team early in the week. Best —
Opened an old box in our storage room and actually found the extra spades for the speaker wires. So I’m all good - much thanks for the offer though! Continued success to you —
Mel
Thanks for letting us know.
