Cheese toasties!
Now that is an important topic worthy of a whole forum to itself
Don’t get me started on grilling. Speaking of that, I need to grill an aged prime rib for 4 hours on Christmas Eve again. Darn, inflation shows up in beef for sure😧
I am torn between these two grinders. I may buy both.

Seems to be a waiting list on the Z1.
You don’t like waiting, do you
All the “better” grinders seem to be on some sort of waiting list. The Z1 requires $10 USD to get on the list!!!
For what it’s worth, I have a Flat - not the Max - and recently received the MC5 conical (now superseded by the MC6) and I don’t think you can go wrong with any of the Kafatek grinders.
I am not an extreme-light roast kinda coffee person, which is what the Flat and especially Max are targeting, so I’m favoring the MC5 at the moment. (I prefer medium roast, like Caffe Lusso’s Gran Miscela Carmo.)
If you’re not into light roasts, the MC6 might be a great choice to consider.
And for the record I’m still enjoying Roon, with or without a grilled cheese sammich.
An ongoing process to represent the male tufted duck (Aythya fuligula) in winter plumage having just captured a bivalve mollusc. Needs more work clearly.
An impressive likeness, nearly perfect.
I am not a fan of light roast either. Currently leaning towards the MC6. It seems like it’s a great choice for med/dark.
I am thinking about these finishes:
Puts me in mind of the ubiquitous “chick” tiles from the 80s…
It says 70s in the ad, but that was only for the posh folks in “that London”, we didn’t get chick tiles in the Provinces until the 80s
Nice job capturing the breeding plumage!
On looks alone, this is a winner. Industrial chic. Beautiful machine.
Does it look the same with robusta beans?
Don’t know, my grinder refuses to accept robusta
Coffee isn’t important to me at all. I prefer zero calorie Monster Energy.
Coffee is like silver gear, a poor choice.
I’d rather use lamp cord for speaker cable then give up coffee.
What do you like about it? The bitter taste? The nervous energy? The requirement to drink it or you will lay waste to everyone around you? I am curious.
When I was working, only coffee could keep me awake in the daily construction meeting. Tea could not do that somehow. Now it helps me focusing on the golf course.
But any cheap coffee would do that, and I don’t have time to use that $1k grounding device; oh I mean grinding device.
Me neither, that’s why I am buying a $2500 grinding device .
Does that make the monkey poop bean taste better? Obviously I’m way off on this coffeephile trend. I’ll stick with Nespresso.
