I gave my Sony MX1000 M4 to my daughter, and I got a Bose 4 or 5 just a few weeks ago.
Wait, donât you have one to sell? You got too many things for sale, I got confused. Well, I just need one with noise cancellation on Airplane. Nothing fancy. The Bose is comfortable, and we will be flying to Japan and Taiwan in a few weeks so it is perfect for that.
If I sell any headphones in the near future it will be a pair of ZMF Verite Closed. Most likely not what you want/need.
I read a rumor that Sony is about to release the MX1000 M5 soon.

I moved AQ Dragon48 from PST to the streamer. It sounds better than Firebird48 in soundstage and smoothness. But I doubt it could compete with Omega. The latest USPS update says it will arrive before 5pm. We shall see what I will receive.

Two years ago, I did a comparison between AQ Dragon48 HDMI and AQ Firebird48 HDMI when these cables were new with PST. Now both are well broken in, I am comparing them again in the streamer.
The top dog Dragon is better. The treble is so clean and fast, the soundstage has expanded more, and the background is darker. Firebird sounded a bit jumpy because Dragon is sounding smoother. So, after two years the Dragon is a clear winner, more so than how I remember them from two years ago. However, the difference would only show up in a side-by-side comparison. This is not something to make you jump up and say âwow, my system sounds so great todayâ. No, you do not need to hurry to replace your Firebird. It is still a great cable

The Omega was in the system for around two hours. The cable sounded great right out of the box, but itâs a bit flat and compressed. Although all Shunyata USBs went through a four-day KPIP burn-in processing in the shop, it is obvious to me it still needs time to break in. One obvious difference from Sigma at this early stage is that Omega sounds warmer and fuller in a very âanalogâ way. But the background is still grey, so I will leave it for a day or two before I evaluate again. I have a feeling this cable will soon be a killer!

Break in will get rid of grayness, so will iPurifier and SR Master. Youâre in for some real fun times ahead!

This morning the streaming sounded flat, and Omega did not exhibit the SQ I was expecting.
Upon close inspection, the only new thing I replaced was from a Duro70 sorbo/carbon fiber support column under B input with a metal bracket. So, I added a duro70 ring on top of the metal support, and the magic is back. Here is a picture of it:
If you have a high-quality USB or I2S cable, you must try this, and you can thank me later!

Is there a name for the metal support? Not having much luck finding something that looks similar to what you are using.

So was the problem caused by the metal in the support itself or by the plug not being fully supported so that it connected reliably in the jack on the back of your DAC? I use wood blocks of various sizes to support the plugs in my power cables.
The metal support is adjustable in height so the issue, I assumed, was it may not tune the sound in the right way. When combined with Sorbothane ring, together they give a warmer and more three-dimensional sound.
However, when I use the metal supports alone under PC plug and Dragon48 for PST they improve the sound. I ordered a sorbothane sheet and will use it for these locations to see if the SQ will be further enhanced.
