Glad you could include The CAT in your NOLA travels!
I won’t be posting any pictures once the music starts:
Waiting for Lyle Lovett and his large band at the Tennessee Theater in Knoxville.
Concert was very good, with some great moments.
The band played for nearly three hours.
That’s awesome. We’ve seen Lyle a couple times and once with John Hiatt at a tiny venue in Rocky Mount, VA. Outstanding performances always.
First time I have heard “Church” performed as an encore…
It was a rousing performance with a great deal of audience participation.
Great looking spot in the world. I can’t quite read the beer menu but, be assured, I would enjoy something on that menu!
A Victorian malt house (they malted the barley and sold it on to brewers) eventually became home to the Aldeburgh Music Festival (Aldeburgh is just down the road, we spent the afternoon there on the beach!) and one of the finest recording venues anywhere. The beers are all local, the whisky is made at a distillery nearby (done the tour, whisky is not that good) and the gin is made down the road in Aldeburgh by Fisher’s and is very good.
That was an excellent concert. If we would have stood up and took 2 steps we would have been on stage with them. Musically was extraordinary!
