Not enough strings on that bass - needs more (and cowbell) 
I saw Lage here in Portland in February. Before the show there was a nearly one hour QA with him. That alone was worth the ticket price. The show itself was fantastic. Highly recommended.
It was epic – truly. If you have never seen Julian Lage live, I would highly recommend it.
I’ve seen him twice, but both times in trios (and awesome) but I really want to see him with the full band from the new album. Its such a different vibe on vinyl so now I wanna see it live.
Ah, then you know how great Julian is (and Jorge Roeder is no slouch, either!). Are you sure it is just the two of them for the upcoming show near you? The way the last night’s Higher Ground show was advertised, I thought it would be Julian solo acoustic. Turned out to be a quintet.
Yeah, unfortunately it is just the two of them - not sure if there was some conflict with other performers. He did a solo show here last summer too - maybe his band hates us 
Solo and Duo could be superb!
Bet it comes down to $$, traveling as a group gets expensive quick.
My recent concert was a trio.
The venue looks fun and I am guessing they have tamed the reverb time to fit the artists now filling the place with music.
Every time I go there for a concert I want to go up to the pipes on the organ and place my ears on them for a listen. They have to be contributing to some reverb.
It is an old retired church with remarkably good acoustics.

Suzanne Vega at the Ark in Ann Arbor, MI last Tuesday (16 April). Gerry Leonard provided some wonderful backup. The last photo she is actually reading the lyrics since it is a brand new song! She had another song, new to me, about rats! She said she’ll be going into the studio very soon to work on a new record. Her voice is as good as ever.
The Reser is a fantastic venue, not a bad seat in the house.
I hope she’s headed West. I need to look.
