I hope BFG comes here. We saw ZZ Top about 1.5 years ago and they were great. I like Billy’s solo albums, so I would definitely go see his solo project.
You might be in luck … two shows in Virginia coming up on February 23 and 26:
Thanks for sharing the list of tour dates. Those venues are pretty far from my area, but we have a nice 1300 seat venue that they could play at. Hopefully, they will be touring for the next few months and can swing by our way!
Dropkick Murphys show with The Aggrolites, Haywire, and California Slugger at the Mission Ballroom in Denver March 1. Very high energy show. We had a great time.
Haywire:
The Aggrolites put on a great show and this was our first time seeing them. Wish they had more time.
The Dropkick Murphys still rock!
I just missed a good shot here of a guy in a wheelchair who was able to crowd surf all the way to the stage. I did not notice when I took the picture, but it looks like it ended up poorly right around when security would set you down, though they were doing a pretty good job all night. Still, you can see the chair sideways here but the lead singer has a hold of the guy to keep him upright. The guy came back for a second round of crowd surfing later, so he must have been okay. Denver sure was banging for a Sunday night.
He is great fun, with serious legit chops.
Joe Satriani and Steve Vai at the Mission Ballroom in Denver on 4/14/2026. First time seeing them together and it was cool hearing those two play together. It’s nuts how good they both are and hearing them both rip some of those pieces in sync together live was impressive. I know you can’t really do it well in a stadium, but I think it would be cool to hear them with one setup on an amp on my left and the other setup on an amp on my right. What they were able to do together was really fun and I couldn’t help but wonder during the show what that would have been like.

I’m ashamed to admit I don’t know who this guy playing with them was but he got after some Led Zeppelin in the encore and was a heck of a player himself.
Ice Cube, with Snoop Dogg, Too Short, and Czarface at Red Rocks outside of Denver 4/20/2026
Too Short
Snoop Dogg
So… Snoop may have been high at the 4/20 show in Colorado. He may have seen a little girl break dancing with the energy only youth possesses, gotten excited and invited her up on stage to dance and shine in front of a sold out crowd. He may have also forgotten he had a couple women on poles behind him at this point of the show. So… I don’t know what the picture policy is about women in g-strings on this site, but I did get this shot of her without the women as Snoop tried to keep her focus on him and not learning any new moves from behind him.
I have some other photos that would probably make for a colorful custody hearing in court, which I’m not sure I’m allowed to share on here. To be fair, the little girl looked to have had a fantastic time.
Ice Cube was good but had too many hits to finish songs. He just cut songs short to get through more songs. I more used to the jam bands that will triple a songs length, so that kinda sucked in my opinion. He just needed more time or to cut some songs entirely.
We saw Alison and Union Station in Richmond last year and loved the experience.
Wow, wild lineup and show description! How was Czarface? And any Czarface photos? Thanks.
Thanks for the pics, that must have been quite the shred fest!
I believe the third guitarist is Pete Thorn:
Thanks for sharing how the guitar player was. He is very talented in my opinion. I can see why all those artist have reached out to him.
Sorry, no Czarface photos. I forget to take photos at shows sometimes and they were on first.
Alabama Shakes with JJ Gray and Mofro at Red Rocks outside Denver CO 5/24/2026.
JJ Gray and Mofro opened the show. Absolutely fantastic show again. This was a third time seeing them and there will be more if we get the chance. Unfortunately, the sound was off right at the start when he comes out to do a harmonica solo. Not my wife or many other peoples thing, but I’m into it and was looking forward to hearing him rip again to start the show. Each show we have seen him open that way but I have never found his solo online to stream so I was looking forward to it live again but the sound was way way off to start the show. Luckily, they did get the sound sorted pretty quickly, but the solo suffered. The rest of their show was killer though.
This was a first time seeing Alabama Shakes. They put on a good show and my wife really loves Brittney. For me, they have a handful of really great songs, but some misses as well. I’m actually pretty cool with that as I like a band to try different stuff. However, I would have preferred more time to JJ Gray and less time to Alabama Shakes to avoid a few of those misses in concert. Great show overall!
