My fave Kansas record. Hard to believe they were a “bar band”. For me, the only essential Kansas song not on Leftoverture is Dust in the Wind, which I find the equal of Yesterday, by The Beatles. Existential poetry, musical genius.

Yep. I was waiting for the punchline, but Kansas was certainly no joke. Following Journey’s “Infinity”, “Leftoverture” is the second most cherished album of my youth and still something very special.
