That’s perfect (ly horrible!) I had a pair of Acoustats that needed their “socks” replaced more than once thanks to the kitty’s instincts.

We got our kitten a couple of years after I sold my old MG-1s, and she died at age 19, a few years before I got my .7s. That was not by design. I’m not capable of that degree of coordination.

Owning both, cats are a no-go in my house, tho I have a feral mouser living under my house; the ultimate cat relationship.
I STILL want to know what happens if a dog pees on a high voltage electrostatic… Nobody seems to have an answer… Might have to submit an Ask Paul…

Typical bias voltage on a 'stat membrane is around 5kV to 6kV DC so Fido would be quite unhappy if he peed on your speaker. Also, urine is a great conductor of electricity due to its salt content.

fido might howl in keeping with music …

I’ve owned several Maggies and Accoustats, Quads, Dahlquist, ESS/Heil…a bunch of pet unfriendly designs.
No problem as my only dog was not allowed in the music room. My issue is me, with all the cords and cables that I have to avoid like land mines.

3-day suspension for this “groaner”!

Ya, deserved…
Sorry old timer, I didn’t mean to cause any boomer anger.
2 week suspension now?

What do you mean, old timer? Where did you get that idea?

I am a 30-something gamer living in my parents’ basement.
