That’s simply a safety hazard. The boxed equipment will be fine and hopefully there was no one on the other side(s) of those woefully inadequate shelves as they probably wouldn’t fair as well.

They should have played something from Derek and the Dominos…

Don’t overload your shelves and then bump them.

Now that was horrendous…a few injured folk sadly…

I know a bloke who works as a quality engineer for a supermarket chain. We casually chat about safety standards in their warehouses. Shelves robustness and height depends on type and weight of goods. He said that once they were asked not to use a newly built warehouses due to non-compliance with shelving standards for the type of goods stored. They had to go back and re-do the whole thing. In the case of the forklift, I noticed there were no yellow makings on the floor. This is illegal in most OECD countries, especially if you have a permit to operate forklifts on premises. Most probably the shelves were not a match for the load either.
