That tube amp, white face with gold trim, it isn’t a Sherwood is it?
I think I see a tube pre or power amp in your future…
You are showing your age, Al. My thought as well. Looks cool.
Wait. Check that. Maybe Sansui?
My guess would be rek-o-kut turntable and Grommes amplifier.
Sure looks like a VPI.
Looks like a Signature 21?
I’d say Prime Signature with HW-40 feet.
I think so too.
Looking to identify the speakers and amplifiers. The subs in the corners appear to be REL, possibly G1. A friend sent me a thumbnail of this system he heard while visiting a buddy, and didn’t bother to ask what components these are. His comment was the bass was a bit over powering, and the system didn’t sound musical.
Vimburg and David Berning?
Yes indeed, and thank-you. Vimberg Tonda D speakers and possibly David Berning 211/845 monoblocks, but the tube set in the image is throwing me off; two forward tubes and one in the rear.
Impressive identification, as system details have been confirmed
Vimberg Mino D Speakers
David Berning 845/211 mono blocks
Subwoofers Audio Kinesis Swarm-4
not in the image:
line–stage Meitner pre-dac
meitner ma-3 amplifiers
power conditioners Shunyata Denalis (2)
Turntable Chris Brady Teres 255 rim drive
Tonearm Origin Live Conquerer mk3c
Phono CArt DS audio dsw3 - just added
phono stage DSW-1 and emm labs
Room seems light on diffusers, etc.
Guess I spend too much time looking at and reading about gear…
Best,

If anyone also saw the great movie “Tar”, here’s the question and the solution ![]()
Sorry, can’t click on the link for fear of benefiting the purveyor of poisonous condescension with web traffic…

Oh damn, didn’t realize that!
@kerosene : B&M as mentioned in the link
Yes, that was a great film. Interesting in all those topics was the superficialness in researching what was said about “direct disc” digital releases and the occasional nonsense about vinyl releases. That made me sceptic about the research of topics I know less myself
.
