I recently about 6 months ago or more changed my cables to a full loom of RAL cables and I have been pleased with the new cables. The only thing is that after a while the bass seemed to be lacking a bit. For the past several days I notice that the bass is back and sounding good. I also notice that I am getting more detail. I am excited with the sound.Is it possible for the cables to further settle down after several months?
Can’t say for sure it’s the cables changing. Could be, but could be any number of things that are behind what you are hearing.
My every experience with cable upgrades has been in one direction only. They’d all settled into the current sound and just became a part of normal listening. I’ve had no reversal or shifting in sound that I would have ever attributed to the same cables. Can you think of any other interference, changes or conditions that may have been present?
Agreed. Once cables and power cords settled, the SQ does not change. But you will get used to the sound just like anything else in your system.
When that happens and it always will, I usually unplug all cables to clean them Also I will tweak here and there to find the “new” sound again. When I get really bored I will buy a new cable or something else
yes it happened when I unplug and plugged them back, It doesn’t hurt to do that once a year it’s like cleaning contact!
But with new cable sometimes you start listening a device that did not achieve or breaking but since you have new cable you play it again and again and again and then the device break-in and sometime we think is the cable!
What ever it is, for whatever reasons , I’m getting good sound.
Believe your ears. They’re the most sophisticated measuring instruments there are so far.

The changes you are hearing are most likely due to fluctuations in electrical distortions.
Even with line conditioning systems are still somewhat susceptible to electrical distortions which are worse during the day and improve in the evening.
That and solar flares, or perhaps something Elon Musk is messing with 
That and the large Hadron collider.
