Has anyone used both Orbi and eero Router? I am using Orbi but I hear good things about the eero…

I use the Eero. It offers nice protection features that find quite useful. (In its router stage)
All my audio is “wired” but I use a lot of wireless gear. The Eero pleases me.

Nice - I like you am all wired in my audio chain - but use a lot of wireless through the house…I am wondering if there is a SQ difference between the 2 when wired. Thanks for all the info/help.

Here is what the above replaced:

The swap is done, data is flowing nicely. The amp and preamp are off. I will observe the sound later.

Haha! That is a lot of fun for 300 bucks! Haha! I hope you like them…

Do not be surprised the SQ is not great on the first day, it may take a couple of days to settle if I remembered right. Have fun!

How could that even be? It’s just ones and zeroes.

I flipped on the system. I am listening to sound that involves the new Optospan parts. It doesn’t suck. I am listening to streaming from the Grimm MU2 to the MU2. (No BACCH) it sounds real nice. Better? Who knows.

Nice - Doesn’t suck is good…I think. I am interested to hear more when you have it…

Update:
Vinyl sounds exactly the same as it did before the SPF and cable upgrade. Whew!
Cassette Tape next. Then 8 Track. Wait.

Okay, streaming now. I actually believe I hear a not subtle change. One of the things that benefits most from the Powerzone thingy is streaming. Streaming takes an analog leap. It is so much closer to the methods above it. With this Optospan upgrade, it may just be better still.

I am streaming this right now:

16.44.1 and it sounds pretty darn “He is in the room”. I think that is proper.

So far so good!

I always thought streaming sounded more analog than SACD in my system, maybe Optospan FO did the trick😁

I used to hate when the 8 track would change tracks right in the middle of the drum solo on ‘In the Garden of Eden’ haha! Glad its good so far - thanks to dchang05!

Al,
having Bill Callahan “in the room” is both really cool, and maybe a bit scary.
He is great! I have yet to hear all his music, as I get stuck on an album (CD), and no need to move on…

Just writing in to report that I’ve installed my recently received LHY SW6 and connected the Eero Router to the switches isolated Ethernet port and my streaming has definitely improved in the lower frequencies. It’s as if my Rel S510 & Focal Aria’s gained some extra punch as I’m finally hearing some snap in the snare drums. I’m very happy with the LHY and cant believe there’s still potential improvement with the fiber direction. Just when you think things sound great, somehow it still gets better. Time to save up for the fiber route. Thanks again psaudio forum contributors.

LHY SW-6 is a great product considering its asking price, but to unlock its potential, FO is the only way to go. Should you go that way, then go with Optospan transceivers and cable. They eliminate the “digital” sound from streaming more than other brands that I have tried, so far.

I too have one on order. its somewhere in Hong Kong. I will do same, Eero ethernet to port, and then fiber to my Melco S100 / Plixr combo. 40ft fiber cable in my setup. I hope the Optospan parts work with my setup. Now if I can get that G2.2 I can do fiber from Melco. Sad but no PZ
