If you talk with someone at Magnepan, they will tell you the exact opposite, that the size of the room matters for whether one should get the LRS+, 0.7i or 1.7i, in order for the sound to properly develop in the room.
They said the speakers are basically the same, except for panel size, and the appropriate size should be chosen based on room size.

Again, that has nothing to do with what I was talking about, or Timm for that matter.
Yes, you size the speakers to the room to properly âfillâ the room without overworking the speaker, or not having a too large speaker in a too small of a room, stifling the speakers.
As far as bass is concerned, refer back to my previous post. Room modes donât care what size speaker youâre using.
