Everytime I read a greart review on something exciting (seldom there wasn’t), I am thinking of changing gears. Any audio show used to be so dangerous to me!
I now have a four-week rule. If I am still crazy about it one month later, I will put it in the list or just go buy it. Luckily during that time there will be some other reviews to distract me.
Haha ya new gear always has some fascination. I am really glad to decided for the Tempus as it helped to improve things and still showcases what my setup is capable of.
Thank you for the great link! Hans is doing an amazing job and summarizing various topics here.
Btw Greek Audio did a review of the Tempus and it outperformed by far the Telegartner M12 Premium switch and Optical Bridge.
Regarding anti vibration (@scotte1 ) it might be interesting to see what he is using:
I’ve got it set up with Well-Float platform—>Graphite Audio IC-35—>Tempus switch—> Stack Audio Level 1’s —>External power supply running into Stealth Audio Cables Ethernet cable to the Antipodes Audio K22/K41.
He has shared some insights during his review time on his social media accounts already. The complete video of the review should be on his YouTube channel soon. Will post updates when available.
Yes he is very passionate, experienced about Hifi and is open minded - three characteristics that are rare these days.
And really very interesting to see how much he enjoyed and embraced the Muon Pro filter and Tempus switch.
We are living in an exciting time where small, boutique brands can easily outperform big, mainstream brands with innovation, hand picked top quality parts for their products etc
I had a very insightful exchange these days with Farad Power Supplies and that is also great to see how they approach things. Their new Super6 is a real gem.
He can talk for sure so I skipped some footage. He is high on vibration control too, and I agree footers on switches made a difference in SQ. I thought MU2 was well isolated until I put it on top of PST, and I could not believe that made additional no-so-subtle improvement.
Time for you to go back to the vibration control game. He likes Stack Audio apparently.
I already got the new Hybrid PSU MK II too and it’s another improvement. Very excited about its performance. @dchang05 And he is using Wellfloat which I think are excellent.
