I will contact Melco to see if I am doing something wrong.
Maybe you just need to restart everything or at least your PC/Roon to make it work? Probably your setup lost IP address when you installed new switch. But for sure it should be able to see Bridge like before.
But as you feel it too,good switches or Etherregens do make substantial upgrade to sound

Will reboot the whole network and DSD DAC. However, with the Matrix and Melco switch, the system sounds just amazing.

Follow up: I rebooted the network and DS DAC could be seen as a Roon end point. The improvement was remarkable, but not as good as with the Matrix.
Edit: After 8 days of using the Melco S100 with Melco Cat 7 cables & HDPlex 300W Linear Power supply. Today, I disconnected Matrix X-PDIF2 and the I2S cable and went back to using just Bridge II now. My dad initial feeling is that this is an enduring setup.
