. I went with the 512 dac instead of waiting for the new amp. The preamp, dac and my ML amp sound great together. I’m thinking about picking up an FR12 though in a couple of months. I’ve spent enough money in the past few months.
If that classic amp ever loses dynamics, you can always have the capacitors replaced, although there are only 3 official locations that can perform that work. I will have to have the caps replaced someday on my 534. They seem good right now.
My amp is still running like a champ! At this point after 25 years of enjoyment if it fails at some point I will move on.
About how much heat will the M800 produce?
800 degrees? Just a guess 
I forgot your amp went to DAC instead. But I heard PMG new amp is really really really good!
