This is it. The video we have been waiting for regarding subwoofers…

12” those are cute! Paul’s quest/Obsession for stacking the subs I totally get that and feel the same way!!!

I’ve gone vertical with my fourth REL Carbon Special, the other two are situated one on each side of the room. Definitely added another dimension to the sound…

I spent a good part of the last three days re running both the line level and high level wires through my attic. Of course I picked the days were experiencing 100°F heat here in Phoenix to do the work.

My Wife & I just redid the flooring (what a mess removing those old Ass cemented down tiles BTW). So no more running wires and gaffer tape on the floor and under the now trashed throw rug.

10 min. at a time was all I could tolerate without passing out. Family is in Spain for the F1 race (wish I was there) so had something gone wrong. Our two Dogs aren’t capable of calling 911.

Got it done with no mishaps. 4x SVS SB-2000 Subs (no Bluetooth App) and I’m hitting 20Hz in room with no issues. Front Subs are 0° in phase and the backs are 180° out of phase. I’m a fan of the Sub Swarm than I am of the Sub Stack. Both aesthetically and my personal taste.

Listening to The Art of HiFi - Bass and then on to more of my favourite Bass Test tracks.

Still have some wire management crap left to do. Tomorrow (actually today) is another day

Well done

You’ve created a very nice system Joe! I like your in-wall equipment rack and cable management :+1:

Just curious, do you still use the Sony Blu-ray player with the Chinese I2S converter for SACD playback?

Great idea using the Ohm (?) speakers for surround channels…

I expect their “dispersion” characteristics are great for that application.

Enjoy.

Thank you @Wim. Of course I do. The cool thing is now that the Perfect Wave Transport has been in my rig for two and a half years. The Sony gets used for two channel BluRay/DVDVideo (PCM) Concert discs and Audio only discs. The audio via the I2S output from the integrated Chinese Adapter board goes into the PS Audio DirectStream DAC Sr. (MK1). And Voila ! I know have DSD playback of Concert DVD’s !

I am listening to “Percussion” right now (with both Dogs beside me) and WOW !!! Also a friend gifted me four Bybee Technologies Quantum Charger’s for my Amps. Who’d a thunk an AC Thing a Ma Jig could/would make a difference !

Have you listened long enough to have some specific opinions on how they improve your experience?

More mids and Bass without screwing up the Treble region as everyone else has observed. Doesn’t make things worse that’s for sure.

TMR has a bunch of these available.

Put in an offer on two… Will see if they bite… I want to try them with my high-current, 500 wpc Class A/B Emotiva XPA-1 (MK I) amplifiers.

Thank you.
