Interesting! And thanks to the two hard workers in advance!
Maybe the Firmware download is somewhere else on the web just as the video seems to be…seems as PSA doesn’t publish the most interesting stuff here

It was in a post above from @wijber. What’s interesting is that at first I didn’t notice it was a URL until I saw the number 2 after the word “Sunlight”.
Huh. That’s a bit odd.
The original link is to a Vimeo post.
I wonder if it was some sort of test post that was supposed to go live simultaneously with the official release of the firmware.
Good find @wijber!
Pretty sure thats how most of the releases got posted initially. (definitely windom)
Huh?
I am afraid I don’t understand your post.
I just meant the video associated with the release was on Vimeo.
10-4.
Thank you.
True, but having given a tentative date, it would have been nice to let people know that that goal would not be met so they didn’t spend the whole day refreshing their browsers in vain. It probably would have been better to just say “sometime in April”.
Hmm . . . my view of “tentative” is much less certain than this.
PS Audio is excited to release Sunlight. They are an optimistic group and probably overshare. While I enjoy their approach, I appreciate and understand how this can lead to others becoming frustrated.
I am certain Sunlight will be released as soon as possible. But I do not expect an exact date; it will be available when it is available.
Edit: fixed firmware name to Sunlight. Thank you for pointing out my error.
I’m on a 24 hour shift so I’m relieved I’m not reading the reviews how great it sounds yet! Sorry, I sound selfish. Is it Sunlight? Or Sunshine?
Sunlight
That’s what I thought. Elk threw me off there?
I don’t understand how someone can get frustrated when they get free stuff.
Peace

Getting these free updates, all of which have improved the sound of the DSD, have been the icing on the cake of a very fine Dac to start with.
Will this update matter for folks not using the I2S input on the DSD?
Works however you hook it up, as with all of the other Mountain Tops.
I believe the sound will be upgraded but quad rate DSD would only work through I2S?
Yes, I screwed up. I fixed my post. Thanks for the correction!
Happens to the best of us!
I believe that there is more to this release then just the I2S update.
I remember reading that the improvements (plural “s”) in the single Sunlight firmware release would bring SQ improvements equivalent to 3 different firmware releases combined.
