Octave internet radio

Everybody loves a winner. Sounds like a win / win to me. Disc Jockey. DJ. I feel the uninterrupted stream flow free. Feels like mainlining it for me. Makes me think of Joni Mitchel’s “For Free”

I will be sure to add Octave Radio to my favorites in my lightning DS app when I get home. I think this will be a nice addition to my favorite internet radio station - Radio Paradise. RP is also ad free but welcomes donations to support the running of the station & royalties. I recently donated because I felt what they provide something of real value where I am not being mined for my data in exchange (free is never free - someone is paying). Octave might consider adding a donate link to their site where revenues go directly to the artists played.

Hi Paul, when will it be available on Vtuner Bridge II ?

Eversolo DMP-A6 (standard edition): Recent firmware update to V1.1.80 has added Internet Radio(BETA). After picking Country (US) United States, I then searched for Octave Radio. This returns 3 results.

The result that says classical is the PS Audio Octave Radio station. It shows as PCM 44.1 KHz, 192.0 kbps, 16bit, so I’m guessing that this is after converting from MP3. I have marked it as a Favorite.

NOTE: The default volume was very low and had to be turned up.

I’ve been trying out Octave Radio today after watching one of Paul’s YouTube vids. I’m using a WiiM Pro, and have been able to use the stream URL directly from the WiiM app and also by adding a Custom URL to TuneIn.

The radio station had its intended effect - I heard something that I want to hear again! Unfortunately, I don’t have access to metadata. Is that a limitation of Octave Radio, or TuneIn’s Custom URL feature? WiiM acknowledged that they don’t have metadata support in the open network stream feature, but should support any metadata from TuneIn.

EDIT: This seems to be a TuneIn limitation. I found another station that’s in the TuneIn catalog with metadata, and the Custom URL version lacks metadata.

Metadata is there including cover art and titles. You can see it in action on our website so I don’t know why you’re not seeing it……

If you provide metadata and cover art for this why is it not available for the DMP and PWT as well as Bridge 2 users any longer. When you purchase an item because you like those features they should not just cease to operate. Just like when the playlist editor disappeared form the website. The changes to the Power Play website were another disappointment.

Octave Radio reminded today of how good internet radio can sound.
My recently retired desk top set up is filling in for the main system for the time being. I had OR going today more or less in the background as I went about my business and found myself distracted by and drawn into the music in ways that doesn’t happen all the time.
Being a fairly modest set up the sound stage was somewhat compressed but the sound was captivating.
