If you like Spanish flamenco music, don’t miss this one. Recorded in pure DSD256 and it really shows. Sounds so much like a top quality pure vinyl record, except for the sheer amount of detail and freedom from record noise, this is a absolutely delightful addition to your must have record collection. I got the DSD256 edition and am enjoying it immensely!

Listened to the 176/24 yesterday. Definitely a quality recording. The blending of styles on this and Espinoza’s other releases are an enjoyable listen.

Just ordered it. If you read the history of Flamenco it is rather clear it derived from Indian gypsy music, so this collaboration/synthesis is so appropriate!

All the instruments are great but imo, the cello is the star of the show. Love this album.

Ripping to my file library as I write this…

Looking forward to spinning the SACD and streaming the file…

I believe you will love this one, looking forward on your thoughts. Are you using the DMP with MK1 DAC? You should be getting excellent results playing SACD’s with this combo.

Yes, thanks.

“Gabriella” (Track 1) is a bit too busy to my ears.

Listening to Track 2, “Joy”, now.; and it is appropriately named.

What a treat!

Wait until you get into the later tracks, it gets much better! Yes, the first track is only to excite and wake you up. Then the performance begins.

I particularly enjoy the use of harmonica on this album. Nice touch of flavor that I wouldn’t necessarily expect.

Hudson Avenue is my favorite so far.

I’ve enjoyed Levy’s work with Bela Fleck for years. When I saw he was on this album it only made the decision to purchase it easier.

Watching him play in our studio was such a treat!

I have a sealed copy of “The Art of Hi-Fi BASS” I would be interested in trading for the “Gabriella” sacd, if anyone is inclined. Pm me …thanks.

All the tracks are outstanding. My favorite one is track 10 “Barrio Latino”. The percussions are so rhythmic, alive and full of energy! The detail, separation and air are first rate! The guitar and cello blends in and adds to the technicolors, and the toe tapping performance! I can’t believe the amount of detail, resolution, and so much rhythm that is in this DSD256 recording!

I have the DSD256 download and the sound quality and musicality is nothing short of fantastic. Agree with others that “Joy”, “Hudson Avenue” and “Barrio Latino” are highlights.
