I set Zone D HC to “programmed” and set the on time “delay” to 30 seconds. When I press the front panel power switch to fire up Zone D, the tube amp powers right up with no delay. How do I get soft start to work? Thanks.
I think that’s normal. I think the delay of 30 seconds is applied only when you switch the regenerator on. It’s not a soft start delay. Zones D & E are soft start in that they won’t throw a wobbly when a high current device such as a power amp starts up. I’m pretty sure that’s how my P10s work so I’d expect the next generation to work the same way.
That’s how it’s intended. For the delay or “programmed” function to be at play, you have to turn the unit off and on with the blue logo button. Your phrasing makes me think you’re using the display, not the blue logo button.

You are correct. I just realized the PS blue logo is actually a switch. Duh! Now the soft start is working. Thanks.
