When the system is not used, do you turn off the rear switch of P12 or only turn it off with the remote control?
Is it OK to turn off the remote control and leave it idle?

Just turn off the forward panel (blue) switch, unless you intend not to use the connected components for awhile. The outlet banks can be programmed to be switched on and off, or left on at all times using the front control panel.
Feel free to use the remote or logo button and just put it into standby. It hardly uses any power at all when in standby. (unless you have the outlets set to “always on”) I have an older P5 in my system and only use the rear switch if I know I’m going to be gone for over a week.
