Please let us know if it sounds different with the amp set at full tilt. Given the way the Gryphon works there should be no difference, but let’s find out.
@Phil when you see the voltage drop from to 230V to 229.5V (0,2%) do you have the P20 set for High Regulation or Low Distortion? What happens when you flip the setting to the other option? I am merely curious.
It’s normally on high regulation. Flipping doesn’t make a difference.

I see the same thing happen when it gets hot in the summer, even without a heavy load.
Hi Philippe, please can you clarify. Do you mean the weather is hot in the summer, or the p20 gets hot in the summer with no load. Going by what you said previously, I presume you mean the hot weather, but just checking.
I mean that when the listening room gets hot in the summer, the P20 gets slightly warmer, even without the class A on. And the voltage out is slightly lower, maybe 229,7V. Not as low as when it pumps out 1000 W.
Similarly, in the winter, after a cold night, the P20 is cold, and it is around 230 V.
My observation is that if the P20 is warm, either because the room is warm or because it has a heavy continuous load, the voltage out goes down a bit. When I turn off the class A, the voltage out gets back to normal, i.e. something like 229,9 V.
BTW my M1200’s have never drawn over 225 to 250 watts on my P20. I know they are of a different amp design but those number ranges are unaffected by Led Zeppelin at 90 dbl. I wanted to turn the volume ups to ‘11’ but my ears can take it.
